JOINTS

Joints connect your bones.
Some joints like those in your skull do not move.
Some joints can move a little.
Some joints move very freely.

There are four basic types of free moving joints.

 Gliding Joints

 Hinge Joints

 Pivot Joints

 Ball and Socket Joints

The outside of a bone is hard, but the inside is softer.

The inside is called the marrow.

Young children have soft bones which keep on growing.

When you are about twenty years old your bones stop growing.
