WATER IS A NON-LIVING THING

Water, water everywhere on earth.

Water is found in the sea, in rivers and lakes, in the soil, underground and frozen in great ice fields at the north and south poles.

Some non-living things have been built or manufactured by living things.

i.e. the car has been built by man.

The car has been built with NATURAL and SYNTHETIC MATERIALS.

Some NATURAL MATERIALS are obtained from things that were once living.

i.e. wood, wool, cotton, silk and leather.

Some NATURAL MATERIALS come from underground or from quarries.

i.e. gem stones,rocks, coal and oil.

Sometimes non-living things are made from SYNTHETIC materials, this means the material is MAN-MADE.

i.e. plastic, nylon and polythene.
